The pinpointed screw pile shaft must then maximise a compatible torsional strength to resist twisting failure when installing them as well as a proper effective length strength when carrying the compression loads to prevent buckling failure.

The length of the screw pile can likewise be determined by considering the footing’s depth and whether it will be installed at natural ground level or from the excavated foundation level.
